“He read the hearts of men as shrewdly as his father, but what he read moved him sooner to pity than to scorn. He was gentle in bearing, and a lover of lore and of music, and therefore by many in those days his courage was judged less than his brother’s. But it was not so, except that he did not seek glory in danger without a purpose.”

-So, they go from being like, prisoners of war, to the very bosom of Nature. It kind of helps them become hobbits again.

-Mmmm, bosom.

absurdical:

zlot, how do we feel about el rondo being the only elf who doesn’t do the glowing dewy thing? like, can you think of a time when he’s all HELLO I AM LUMINOUS? gosh i like him a lot for that.

(haldir and teleporno, you are not included in this. gtfo)

I like to think that he has the capability to glow but chooses not to. He’s permanently switched it off.

Maybe it reminds him of daddy.

oh god that’s a nerdy joke ajkljgslag

The remarkable bond between Legolas and Gimli was unique among Elves and Dwarves during the whole of the Third Age, and it earned Gimli, at the end of his days, the previously unheard-of gift of being allowed to sail west across the sea to the Undying Lands, to dwell in eternal peace with his friend.
